Sherry Steine

Multidiscipinary Wellness Specialist

Hi, I’m Sherry, and I'm thrilled you found my page. As a Certified therapeutic yin yoga teacher, home energy practitioner, and aromatherapist, I specialize in using ancient techniques for physical, mental, and spiritual resiliency. Each person I work with holds a special place in my heart, and I feel blessed to be part of each one’s journey.

In our sessions, I provide a compassionate and collaborative environment where we can explore and address the various facets of your life. As a therapeutic yin yoga teacher, I help you manage anxiety, reduce stress, and offer emotional support. Together, we will work to increase your body-awareness, strengthen and empower your mindset, and develop new problem-solving and coping skills.

Yin yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that involves holding passive poses for extended periods. This allows the deeper connective tissues—such as ligaments, joints, and fascia—to stretch and release tension. It is rooted in ancient Chinese medicine and complements traditional yoga practices by focusing on stillness and mindfulness.

For those navigating midlife challenges, yin yoga offers numerous benefits.

It helps calm the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety, and promotes a sense of inner peace. The practice enhances flexibility and joint mobility, which is especially beneficial as we age. Moreover, the meditative aspect of yin yoga fosters emotional resilience and mental clarity, supporting you in coping with life's transitions and finding balance.

Aromatherapy and Space Rituals

In addition to yin yoga, I provide emotional and physical support as a NAHA Certified Level 1 Aromatherapist. Also as a certified trauma-informed aromatherapist, I create custom blends tailored to your specific needs. Aromatherapy uses essential oils extracted from plants to promote physical and emotional well-being. These oils can be used in various ways, such as inhalation, topical application, or diffusion, to help alleviate stress, improve mood, and support overall health.

I integrate principles of Ayurveda and Chinese medicine into my aromatherapy practice to enhance its effectiveness in custom essential oil blending. Ayurveda, an ancient Indian healing system, emphasizes balance and harmony within the body.  By considering your dosha (body constitution) and imbalances, I can select essential oils that support your unique needs. Chinese medicine, with its focus on the flow of Qi (life energy) and the balance of Yin and Yang, informs my choice of oils to harmonize your energy, specific organ meridians, and promote overall wellness. My teachers that whom I have studied with or influenced my aromatherapy practice include, Raghda Abdelmaksoud, Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie, Desiree de Lunae, David Crow, Dr. Light Miller, Tiffany Carole, and K.G. Stiles to name a few.

Holistic wellness also encompasses the environment in which you live. As a Certified Feng Shui Expert specializing in energetic home wellness and currently studying Vastu Design, I can help you create a living space that supports your overall well-being. Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese practice, and Vastu, an ancient Indian science of architecture, both focus on harmonizing the energies of your home to enhance health, prosperity, and happiness. By making adjustments to your living space, we can improve the flow of energy, wellness, reduce emotional stress, and create a more balanced and nurturing environment. My profound Feng Shui teachers have been Feng Shui Master Larry Sang and Hope Karan Gerecht. I am currently studying Vastu with Vastu Designer and Author, Sherri Silverman, Phd.

Together, we can work towards revitalizing both your inner self and your home, creating a harmonious balance that supports your well-being and personal growth.
